Why choose parquet?

Who doesn’t want a little piece of luxury in their home? Solid parquet is hard wearing (dependent on species chosen and finish that is applied) and can be restored and finished a number of times meaning that it can last a lifetime - one of its major advantages over engineered flooring alternatives. Once installed, parquetry can undergo a variety of treatments to achieve the look you are after. Due to the nature of the species, White Oak can take on a multitude of colours by staining the timber to match your style. Conversely, we can also lighten darker timbers such as Jarrah or Brushbox to appear more “blonde” through specialised chemical treatments.

Parquetry blocks come in a variety of sizes (260x65mm all the way up to 600x120mm) however it is important to consider the space and aesthetic that you are trying to achieve when choosing block dimension and pattern.
